Color grading is the final look given to a project. Whether the media originates on film or is electronically captured, the decision to blend the look or differentiate the look comes down to color grading. It can be as little as to match and enhance the original material. On the other hand it can be to make a bold and dramatic visual image for everything or just at compelling moments in the story. Like great sound sweetening, picture sweetening sets one's project apart.
