| When two “high wall” dams were constructed on the Baker River near Concrete, Washington, in 1926 and 1959, they began generating much needed electricity for the Northwest power grid. Unfortunately, the annual passage of the native Sockeye salmon was threatened by these man-made obstacles. Puget Sound Energy has recently improved salmon migration for this important fishery on their run to, and from, Baker Lake. Over one year in development, this video tells that story. With a sensitive script, and direction from Brett Paine, along with the keen eye of DP, Geoff Dunlap, this HD video explains how Puget Sound Energy is committed to helping improve the Baker River Sockeye population. The video features an original soundtrack by Nick Denke, color correction by John Davidson, with finishing, and title design by Ben Pohl. Victory Studios’ Richard Bartlett produced. |
